i'm actually building a app for a client that connects to a drone box and to shipping companies API to allow for your packages to be put in the drone box on arrival and not left on the front door etc. been working on it for 9 months now should be done soon

I was gonna suggest Ring ... but you live in a building with a common area. See if they have video surveillance. Most buildings have those areas covered. At least our condo did in Honolulu. Good buildings have 24/7 security desks as well. It's worth the little bit more on the HOA fees.
Security cameras or pretty worthless if you cant get a license plate number, or some other way to identify the culprit, and in most cases you wont.

I just saw the “photo” the delivery man took to prove it was fricking “delivered”.
Probably wasn't an employee of UPS or USPS. Likely Amazon Flex, they're who has been using the picture proof method.
If you have a Whole Foods nearby, start having your stuff delivered there. They have lockers.

I have had stuff stolen off of my front porch. It usually starts this time of year. Amazon has either sent me another package or credited my account. However, if it happens often, they will usually make you file a legit claim. Eventually, they’ll stop giving you breaks. If you think you have a problem, have your packages sent somewhere else. I am ordering parts for my rifle. Since it’s nearing Christmas, prime theft season, I may have them shipped to work.

Amazon lockers are a beautiful thing.....
frick that. I don't pay Amazon so I have to go somewhere to pick my shite up. If I wanted to do that, I'd just go to Wal-Mart.
Amazon is SERIOUSLY fricking up their business right now using Amazon Logistics. If driving to pick my stuff up to avoid piss poor delivery is their end goal, they're badly mistaken. I never thought I'd pine for USPS and their superior delivery. Long term customers are about to start bailing on Amazon.

Have all your shite sent to work or to an Amazon locker.

I spoke with amazon. I am getting a full refund. From now on, I will be sending anything important to a family member’s house which is slightly more secure at the very least.
I reached out to the building engineer about this and he confirmed they don’t have cameras on the building entrance (fricking great) but they do have cameras in the common space wear I found the package. I will email building management about this tomorrow.

Be ready next time!
Nothing any more sensitive than what you’re probably already throwing in the trash can.

Is there any sensitive information on the invoice/receipt? That was stolen too.

Why buy shite online if i cant have it delivered to my house??? If i have to go some where to pick up my packages, i'll go buy it at an actual store.

Actually they go to the nice neighborhoods to steal packages.
For me, the thieves are the USPS. We have been documenting packages and letters arriving to our house either completely opened or torn enough to see what is inside. We have never received several checks and birthday cards. They have “investigated” twice and re-routed our mail through different facilities and it keeps happening. The USPS acknowledges it is happening yet says they can’t do anything.
I think we should start cutting the hands off of thieves. Caught red handed, leave without your hand.
