So the "I've never understood" really means, over the last few years as everyone carries a video camera and everything is caught on live tv now?

No. It means since the inception of the internet when teenagers were all over Rotten.com watching people get their heads chopped off. Or before that, when there were bootleg tapes of the same shite being circulated.

Or, you know, when people showed up for public executions for centuries. This isn't some new thing.

I am very active in the 3-gun, USPSA, and IPSC communities. wanna know how many of those guys use lasers? 0. Complete gimmick. Made for dorks like this shooter. ETA: and a red dot =/= laser. Lasers are what I'm talking about - worthless

I get it. For a competition that shooter, yes it is completely unnecessary. But for joe blow to put rounds on targets quickly without being very active at a range. It absolutely makes sense.

Look, I'm willing to admit guns are an incredibly effective killing machine. People that argue taking away guns just mean you'll be killed with a knife instead are ridiculous.

What about a bomb? That’s pretty effective. And as far as knives go yes you aren’t likely to kill 50+ people with a knife but it would the new one on one beef solver if guns were totally removed.

I’m sure you have seen this
Angel made of confiscated knives in UK

SOCOM operators use laser designators that cost thousands of dollars that can’t be used unless you have NV. Your talking apples and oranges in comparison. The stuff they use can’t be seen with the naked eye. Carson knows his shite and he is correct. Lasers on pistols are dumb and real shooters don’t use them.

Y’all are talking about Operators and competition shooters. That’s not what happened. Unless all of the reports of a gamer kid were wrong. The kid obviously wasn’t a “real” shooter hence the laser. I don’t even know why y’all are arguing it obviously worked for what it was used for (probably every engagement under 10 feet).

So do we have any confirmation if Trueboy was the one that beat David Katz in the tournament?

It definitely seems like he was the target of the attack. I hope the POS rots in prison and is beat, raped, etc every day for the rest of his pathetic life.

ETA: Forgot he killed himself

I have been following the story via OT. I have not seen anywhere that it was confirmed that Trueboy was the one that beat him. All I have seen is that he lost and decided to take it out on fellow gamers.

Do you have the answer or just going to make a smartass comment?

The shooter killed himself. He is one of the 3 dead. The only rotting he will be doing is underground...

True. I did forget when posting that he killed himself. Well I hope he rots in whatever hell may or may not exist.

The angel made of knives is interesting but the box of knives really caught my attention.

What kind of country declares a nail set to be a knife? Likewise hair cutting scissors?

Just came out that he had a long history with psychiatric drugs and schizo behavior. We are seeing a real link here with all these shootings.

True but the values behind it certainly Have. It's one thing to watch a murderer hang, it's quite another to seek out videos of random people dead or dying.

While I don't think this creates murderers by itself, the desensitization and attention do seem to be a factor and these mass shootings in schools etc seem to parallel the rise of the internet and social media

It's been my stance that the attention given the Columbine killers was totally irresponsible

ding ding.

lack of help with a mental health issue or prescription drug problem for a mental health issue is the overwhelming cause of these type incidents, not an inanimate object (gun).

to say otherwise:
"disregard that frank, it's a bunch of liberal bullshite"
