Yep, 4-6 feet is a tremendous amount of water.
BR is kind of lucky that we haven’t had as much rain as was originally predicted.

No they'll open Morganza before it tops the levee here in BR. If the levee breaks, you're fricked.

I live off Nicholson almost in St. Gabriel....do I need to be concerned with this?

Nobody wants to see the levee crest... that could lead to failure. Spillways would be opened well before that could happen.

It’s going to fall and then rise again during the snow melt. Also, a wet spring north of us will not help matters. Something like 70% of the nations waterways eventually drain into the MS. It’s definitely concerning.

Not really, warmer air carries more moisture, more moisture means more snow potential, more snow means more to melt.
