lastly, i would also remind people in this thread, that 3 million more people voted for hillary then president trump in one of the most contentious and bizarre elections the nation has ever seen,

Those 3 million votes were most likely cast by people in NY and California who are completely out of touch with the rest of America living in their delusional safe spaces. Thank god for the constitution or we would be careening down the path of more failed liberal policies.

Where have they been the past 8 years?

fighting for their country, protesting these issues, enjoying the 8 years of progress under president obama, and liking the direction the country was heading.

quote:

Pink Pussy Hats and Ashley Judd screaming about her periods and tampons no doubt convey all of these concerns very well.

it certainly got your attention did it not? but the fact of the matter is that those make up maybe only 15-20% of "messaging" for the protests.

quote:

Men get judged too. It's a two way street just like everything else amongst the two genders.

they do. and it's a shame. but men historically have been in a socially superior position to women. so the "judgment" have less an effect. still doesn't make it any easier on a case by case basis.

quote:

I would hope you were smarter than this but I guess not. This talking point literally means nothing and means even less when you take away the illegals that voted illegally

kstout, your guy won. you really really really need to go check your sources. i'm not saying he's illegitimate. but the idea that illegals voted in the election and caused a popular vote swing has been debunked over and over again. please if you get anything from this at all, please go do your research from an unbiased news source. politifact, something that you trust.

there was no voter fraud or illegal vote casting in this election. hillary won the popular vote. she won more votes because of cities like NYC and LA and SF and Chicago and almost every urban area. Dense urban centers that have a LOT of people. donald trump won the electoral college by winning the right states. hillary won less states, but won them by a big margin. do you think the people that voted for obama in NY and California just stopped being liberal? trump won the rural states handily. those are some easy numbers to reconcile.

quote:

Again, no one denies this.... well except for the liberals forming human walls at the inauguration yesterday denying people entry or the people that attacked goldennugget today.

i'll swap you anecdotal for anecdotal today. the people here were smiling and cheering in solidarity and the belief that they were marching for a good cause. for their fellow man and woman.

what do you think we're marching for? do you think we're hateful?

well at least you count them as legitimate voters.

but i ask you, what makes you more american than them? don't they have the right to vote how they want to? why do the votes of the minority outweigh the votes of the majority?

well we know the answer to that (electoral college). but geographic location doesn't make someone more or less american. their vote should count just as yours.

so here's my thing you guys. you guys won. you won fair and square (as far as we know). but more people didn't want what you want, and they're justifiably upset that they didn't win. so instead of ridiculing them, you could just be gracious winners and try to help maybe assuage some of their fears or giving them some of the things they're requesting. because they're americans too.

The anti war left disappeared for 8 years. Guess it's time they show again.

Why men being overly dramatic, they have no "rights" at risk. They had 8 years of a social reformer as president, that time is over. Buckle up buttercup

I honestly don't know because many of them don't even know. You have one in this thread that had no idea why she marched. It was just a party to her. The message, if there is one, is too broad and convoluted. Maybe try to get on the same page and be more concise and people will take Ashley Judd seriously about her periods.

quote:

do you think we're hateful?

I think many are hypocrites, yes. That was shown by the violence yesterday and the denying people entry to the inauguration. If it was about being peaceful and respectful, these things wouldn't happen.

I can't think of many/any instances where tea party people destroyed personal property of innocent bystanders like liberal protestors from BLM and the election protest have. Maybe I am getting old and just forgetful, though.

karma,
while I'll tease I can also be respectful and have an honest dialogue. So let me ask you this and while I dont hold you responsible for the action of all liberals I would appreciate a reaction /reply to what I see as a fundamental flaw in the reasoning that its TRUMP and Republicans that have been divisive.

you could just be gracious winners and try to help maybe assuage some of their fears or giving them some of the things they're requesting. because they're americans too.

good advice and I agree, but where was this attitude from the left for the last 8 years ?
Ive been told that if I believe in the Bible and own a gun I was a backward racist redneck.
In this Nations entire history there had been a dignity in the office of President that was sorely lacking in Obamas term(s) blaming Bush for everything that was wrong.

I do agree that the dialogue in this Country had disolved into nothing more than name calling
but you almost act as if that only started with Trumps election

and for whats its worth I still haven't voted for Trump
voting for Paul in the Primary and Libertarian in the General
so Im not Trump apologist , I dont think he's a conservative

So you would be OK with a few large metro areas controlling the vote and taking the voice away from rural states? Got it.
