Cab A charged $5x + 20 for a ride to the airport from the mall and Cab B charged $4x + 50 for the same ride. Which cab charged more? How much more?

exactly...Here is my answer: if x = 30, then they charged the same. If x > 30, then Cab A charged more. If x < 30, then Cab B charged more.

It is as if this question was expecting an actual number for an answer.

Assuming x= miles

Say it is 10 miles for the trip

A = $70

B = $90

Take Uber or Lyft. They tell you the charge and do not make you do all that math.
