Cab B is more
5x + 20 = 4x + 50
solve for x, plug back into original two equations
x=30 so both are 170.

Its cause the X is number of people!
Flat rate from airport + number of people up charge.
Assuming this is a minivan, you could fit 6 people max, and B is more expensive in any scenario.

Insufficient data
Number of miles required
Number of miles required

30 Miles is the even point for the cabs. After that Cab B is a better deal. Call Uber.

So it's more of a riddle than an actual math problem

Cab A charged $5x + 20 for a ride to the airport from the mall and Cab B charged $4x + 50 for the same ride. Which cab charged more? How much more?
Ok...now, seriously...if x is miles, it would depend on the distance from the mall to the airport. Assuming they wouldn't take a cab for more than 30 miles, then Cab A will be cheaper.

The driver of Cab A was the passenger's mother.

Chicken will upgrade you to the Premium Membership if you are the first to correctly reply with a common core diagram showing your work.
Needs to be similar to this.
