Man, I wonder if that had anything to do with it...?

Colbert sucks...

This might be an aside to the point you are trying to make, but I feel like comedy has also become very diluted

Some of the funniest movies that were made just a decade ago would NEVER be made today. 40 yr old Virgin, Wedding Crashers, Superbad...not a chance.

Eh, recognizing that their venues are becoming more hostile isn't really complaining. I don't understand why people would go to a comedy club then be unexpectedly offended. When Seinfeld is "offending" people with harmless observational comedy, it's pretty telling.

It’s like 6 people being offended. People need to stop acting like a relatively tiny amount of people are indicative of a widespread opinion. Stop giving these absurd minority voices the time of day.

Colbert was better when he subtly made fun of conservatives. He’s gone full retard like Kimmel.

Burr was talking about typical Burr things that he's talked about for 15 years. Colbert was acting super awkward because he was afraid to laugh at the material because it wasn't PC. It was awful.

Yeah because Colbert likes to watch his wife get fricked. He’s a hack who sold out for the SJW ratings.

It's hardly 6 people. He stopped doing the college circuit all together because of it. I get where you're coming from but I think you're downplaying it too much.

That was a wholly depressing interview. You can see the slow change on Burr's face. He starts off happy. Then he is confused as to why Colbert is not riffing with him or helping him in any way, then he just looks depressed when it clicks that he is not on a comedy show and Colbert is not a comedian anymore and his audience is a pool of uneasy triggered microagressionistas.

3:46 is the exact moment you can tell Bill Burr realizes what he walked into

That interview is a nearly perfect microcosm of the problems in our PC SJW society today.

Why’s it gotta be white?m

But in all seriousness this pendulum swing started with the anti-bullying movement. It No longer became ok to laugh at people/make fun of people except yourself. Then even that became prohibited due to someone else being offended. And I’m not saying bulling is right either, but now every comment is deemed offensive by someone and that someone thinks they hold the moral high ground and think if they can scream loud enough, they win.

It’s a sad day when truly talented comedians such as Jerry Seinfield and Chris Rock refuse to go to college campuses because the environment is not welcoming. Everyone loses

Eh, the audience was crickets too. Not sure if that was because of Burr or the weird vibe from Colbert.

Hyperbole.

Because it needs to be downplayed. There’s no fight back. It’s just “welp, better not do this because the vocal minority will be offended.”

frick that.

So now we move the goalposts back another few decades? No, the birth of a nation wouldn’t be made today.

I've got good news - all of those people swearing off shows for being offensive are lying. They still watch.

Hell, no one on the MSB watches ESPN, but the moment ESPN days something, a thread is started.

I get it. But it's a problem that's getting bigger every day. I think the outrage culture will die eventually once more progressives get burned and ruined for not being up to date on the latest offensive trends. It's going to get worse before it gets better.
