Social media created great memes...and then ruined them...

Like everything else, we have too much of a good thing. When I first started seeing memes, the majority of them were clever and funny.
Now, my SO will start laughing at what she sees, then acts surprised when I don’t find it funny. Most of them are Game of Thrones memes. I guess many people who are on social media often don’t require much to get a good laugh?
I can appreciate humor, and memes. But shite...any combination of words and pictures does not make something funny.
