You'd have to do it slowly. That's your best bet, unless you want to lose 30% of it to trade it for diamonds or something. Black market deals will screw you because of the risk the other party is taking and there will be few options.
Use your own clean money and a small business loan to open a bar, slowly clean it. Open another bar. Slowly clean more. Open other cash heavy businesses, continue to slowly clean it.

I mean, people like Bernie Madoff for instance. The guy had more money than God. He likely had billions. He knew what he was doing was illegal and likely that he could get arrested at any moment. He didn't do much to hide his money I don't think. His wife is now living in a $500,000 house and driving a Prius around town. You would think he would have thought about his eventual downfall and tried to prepare for it.
You're crazy if you think he doesn't have a stash somewhere. Or several. He was a world class crook and conman. Those guys prepare for the eventual arrest.

If you have it in cash just buy some fireproof safes and put it there.
Don't buy new things. For example buy a 1 yr old truck from a person, pay cash. No questions asked.
You can appear to live within means and live above them if you use cash and avoid banks except in small deposits here and there

Crypto actually is the only viable answer here. Anonymous wallet(s). And you have nothing physical in your possession. You can go anywhere at anytime and access your funds with an internet connection.

I'd build a new garage that had a walk-in safe under the slab. Then I don't have to worry about other people knowing my business.

Yea I thought the same thing. I was just too lazy to go back and edit

Just move to a country with no extradition to the US and never come back. It's not what you want to do, but that's the safest.

I might be misunderstanding, but do you think it would be easy to buy $25MM in diamonds with cash?

Yeah, I think you're right. The guy had to have parked some cash somewhere that hasn't been found.

No I'm saying the guy selling you the diamonds might know you're doing something shady by paying in cash so he might bend you over a barrel when it comes to price.

Take all of it to Brazil.
Stay in Brazil.
Learn the language.
You can't be extradited unless you kidnapped a minor.

Do I have the 25M all at once? If so, I'd go to Switzerland with all the money now.
With 25M in your backpack?

I shouldn't be this hard to hide a couple million dollars in cash...ughhhhh
I have spent most of my adult life working outside the US and can tell you this much, the US gov has made it damn near impossible for a US citizen to keep any appreciable amount of money hidden in an account.
FATCA and FBAR are pretty big clubs the IRS wields by controlling access to the US banking system.
