I think safety deposit boxes are pretty immune. There are still Swiss banks that offer absolute immune safety deposit boxes, I think. Banks accounts may be different, if there is one.

Things have changed since Bourne went to Zurich.

Me? I'm thinking while I'm doing said shady shite, I start chartering jets to Geneva/Zurich every once in a while. Pay the pilot to keep his mouth shut. I start parking my cash in a large automatic Switzerland safety deposit box. Perhaps multiple safety deposits boxes. I pay cash for a place to live outside of Geneva or Zurich. When the heat comes, I'm jetting to Switzerland. Would this work?

Yeah, no. The days of a numbered anonymous Swiss account that the kind and benevolent United States Government can't get to are over. If Uncle Sam REALLY wants to know, they can get the information from the Swiss.

Turn it into diamonds and gold and it's easier to travel with. Got to think each unit of paper currency weighs a gram.
So $25m in hundreds is 552 pounds.

In my mind you can still stash a gun and cash in a swiss bank account and only need an account number embedded in your arm.

Yeah, diamonds are not a bad idea.

How do you buy crypto currency with cash? Pretty sure you have to convert the cash into a bank or other electronic medium first. Which is still an issue.

Gift cards?

On a related note, this points out why it's futile to hide significant cash if you're doing something legal. For instance, if you're running a legal, cash intensive business, just pay your taxes and invest your profits. The tax savings you get when you don't report the cash are peanuts compared to the long term issues and opportunity cost that cash represents.

ETA - if you're doing something illegal, you don't have much of a choice.

I'd find my college sweetheart and her douchebag husband who stole her and cut me out of my own company and I'd put them under the threat of sniper death by shady drug gang members unless they laundered all my money back to my family via charitable donations.

Good luck. Gift card laundering is monitored heavily.

Smartest way to do it would be buy cash intensive businesses from immigrants like nail salon, cleaning services, and massage places. Move money through them. You'd pay some tax, but you could wash a lot of the money. There is no way to not pay tax on the entire amount without getting caught.

You might get a better response if you refer to them as your Swiss bankers.

What a foolish poseur.
