UBS had to pay $780 million in fines to the gov't and I am not even sure if that was only the first wave.

Pretty sure the Swiss will extradite you on an Interpol warrant.

Do I have the 25M all at once? If so, I'd go to Switzerland with all the money now.

Switzerland is one of the worst choices FYI, they got clobbered by the IRS already and submitted, they absolutly will inform the IRS of any accounts held by U*S citizens.

Plus, you're going to take a bath on whatever hard assets you buy. You can buy a 1 CT diamond without an issue, but paying cash for $100k+ diamonds will be a problem.

So much for the Swiss being the kings of banking privacy I guess.

I shouldn't be this hard to hide a couple million dollars in cash...ughhhhh

How're you gonna get $25MM USD into the crypto markets to start with? Coinbase maxes you out at $15k/wk. That's 32 years of weekly, max deposits. You'd get popped quick as your ACH account funding crypto would be monitored by AML/KYC laws.

Yeah, crypto is a terrible idea, at least in the US.

If you want to use crypto, you should start using the he business that way. You need to get paid in bitcoin from jump street if you want that to work.

Yep. The Swiss were the ones that almost sent Roman Polanski back to the U.S. They arrested him, but ultimately ruled that they would not extradite, though they easily could have put him on a plane bound for L.A.

I contact one of the guys I used to work with. They toss it on a flight going to a third world country, that's about 150lbs of 100s. I dump the entire thing into bitcoin.

I withdraw as I need it stateside and pay as little tax as possible on it.

What can I say Mr. Taxman, I had a good year.

Do I need the $25M in cash at a later date or can it lose value? If it can lose value I'm buying a large sailboat in cash and retiring as I sail around the world.

I guess you could rent a car and drive around to every known BTC ATM and make max cash deposits to a private wallet. Better have a hollywood-level disguise and be willing to get fleeced on fees though

You'd need some cash to live on obviously, but buying a large sailboat might work actually. You'd have to keep a large amount of cash on the boat for spending purposes maybe.

I'd buy a sailboat and sail to an island off the coast of Nova Scotia. Dig a deep pit and hide money in it before booby trapping the whole thing.

I'd open a bar/club in college towns and bring in artists to perform to get bigger crowds. Also open up a few wing/burger spots as well.

I mean, people like Bernie Madoff for instance. The guy had more money than God. He likely had billions. He knew what he was doing was illegal and likely that he could get arrested at any moment. He didn't do much to hide his money I don't think. His wife is now living in a $500,000 house and driving a Prius around town. You would think he would have thought about his eventual downfall and tried to prepare for it.
