I’m pretty sure the basis of the Drone stuff is Military testing their preparedness. Not fessing up like they did with UFOs, F117 and SR71/72.
All that is combining with social media and TV click baiting.

I don't think so. If it is that pressing of a matter they wouldn't be taking daytime hours off. If they were trying to keep it "secret" under the cover of darkness they've done a terrible job of it, flying around lit up like a Christmas tree.
