Yeah what about Stephen, or Sam, or Scott or Shawn, or he’ll even sue(a boy named sue) Or how about naming him after someone you both look up to. Both my kids names are after family members who display certain traits that we thought were admirable. That way they can always say with honor why they have their name.

Seems like one of those times where a decision of lasting importance needs to be made. Dont let it happen and dont back down. Thats fine for a middle name...and the kid can choose to be called Stencil later in life. Do the same when the kid goes off to college and wants to major in medieval literature or such. Nothing wrong with being extremely knowledgeable about medieval lit...just make sure he has a proper major and a minor in medieval lit
