Yeah, I recognize the orange temporary "levee" from several years ago. I and some friends were the last folks to leave the levee when they closed it one morning. A train came through and we had to wait til it cleared.

MJ2, slight hijack (well not slight) I need new pads and rotors for my Taco. You recommended a set before but I forgot them, had like a sandpaper finish on them, I also need new rotors, OEM? or after market drilled?

That pic is from the 2011 flood. The elevation of the levee there is around 49-50' and the river is about 5' below the top putting the stage in the picture there at about 45'. Todays BR gauge reading is 31.0. So the river is about 18-19' below the top of the levee. Myth Busted.

Nah, I'm pretty sure the Mississippi is at its highest, always, in the spring time when the increased snow melt from up North raises the water levels in the tribuatries of the Mississippi.
