This is why we need a 3rd party to get a foothold. Maybe its the Forward party but probably not. But we need a 3rd option that the average American can vote for to fix things that affect our daily lives. The R's and the D's don't give af about us and never will until the people put someone else in charge. And even then this is wishful thinking that the "new party" wouldn't just help themselves as well.

Agreed, though it's a "be careful what you wish for" type deal.

I won't vote for an R or a D, I know they won't do anything for me. But realistically, if we got a 3rd party, what are the odds that party would be any different? I don't know, but I'd like to take my chances on someone new, can't be much worse than the status quo

Willfully ignorant, not sure why you're choosing that route but you do you. Have fun with that.

Agreed it should be a choice, but that has nothing to do with what we were discussing.

Went to Walmart the other day.. I get all my toiletries plus some nasal spray and cleaning supplies.. The Equate brand nasal spray works great and is/was cheap. Before and during Covid the spray was $1.88 for 1 Fl oz. Towards the end of Covid the price went up $2.20 and few months ago it went up to $3.44. Still cheaper than the name brands but a 44% hike in 2 years pisses me off...
My bill at Walmart that day was around $80 and those same items cost around $50 2 years ago..

bought a small amount of groceries Saturday at a store known for low prices. Basic shite, dog food, laundry detergent, some stuff out of the produce section to make pickles, nothing big or costly. $117.00 and the cart was 90% empty.

Yep. Went to the grocery store Saturday. When that girl said $159 when had all the bags in one hand it hit me hard.

To what he quoted, yes I did.

Just because you disagree with facts does not make it not a fact.

You stated that it would cost less over 10-15 years. How could you possibly know this? Link the studies that show people that have owned an ICE vs EV over that time frame and give me the cost basis for each one.

Also, in my world time is money. So how much productive time was lost charging an EV vs the 3 minutes it takes for me to fill up gas.

You can’t just say factual because you want to believe. Give me the data. That’s like saying trust the science because you don’t want to have the debate.

It's crazy how expensive dog food is. I spend like $60 for a bag of purina pro plan for my puppy and it's only an 18lb bag.

Our car insurance just went up $30/per month. I asked why and the agent said all insurance companies had a price increase this summer because claim costs are outrageous

It is crushing, and every now and then (aka very often), i really notice true multiple price increases. I am a Costco guru and have been for over a decade. I know what shite costs intuitively--like i predict the total at the register to within 10% without fail.

My average trip even in 2020 (comparing apples to apples due to two kids) was $300. Now $500.

I truly do not know how most people survive much less thrive and create any sort of retirement stability. And I think about people trying to buy a home with 8%+ interest rates but no real relief from home prices.

The Road To Serfdom. We're on it.
