there were several groups of people who would scream and blow air horns when their family member's name was called. which is fine but they would continue where you couldn't hear the next few names called. which sucks for the families of those next kids.

They say it at every graduation, please hold your applause until all names are called for that reason. Once one a-hole does it, they F it up for everyone behind them.
Just once I wish they'd stop the ceremony and escort those people out or move their kid to the end of the line before getting his diploma.

i guess we were "lucky" because we got to actually hear our daughter's name announced. but there were a lot of people who were not so lucky.

This is a trash in both races thing. They do it anyway because they know that diploma is the pinnacle of what that kid will achieve in life.

Some places have escorted the trash out. I've read a few stories where they start claiming racism when that happens.

there were definitely people from multiple races with the air horns and the exaggerated celebrations. and even a few idiots throwing beach balls into the crowd.
