The same as EVERY OTHER CONQUERING PEOPLE WHO EVER EXISTED.

People have been conquering other people for territory and rescources since the first man tied a pointy rock to a long stick.

The Native Americans conquered other, earlier peoples to claim their land, and fought amongst themselves constantly.

So has every other successful people in the history of mankind.
