If you read the article, the point was that their safeguards are finding it really early in the areas they expected it and they can clean it.
It was supposed to demonstrate the safeguards are working, not that Omg, they found listeria at Blue bell again!

Gotcha.....point is.....it's only because it's blue bell that people are willing to overlook the whole listeria thing.
If it was another brand of ice cream(say a generic store brand) and they had this happen....you would not buy the ice cream again would you?

I don't think they should have stopped production...can they truly attribute any deaths to the listeria? I thought all the deaths were people in terrible health...they may have died anyway

I don't get the Blue Bell love either. I'm not buying that sht for a long time. And I've never been partial to an ice cream brand in the first place. I probably haven't bought ice cream in 5 years although will have it work every once in a while.
But the return was all over the radio here in Houston. Reports of what stores were getting the first batches. I wonder how it will play out next time if they get recalled again. Will people still be blinded by their fatass love for BB ice cream and overlook it?
