Unions were great when there were no labor laws and the working class was exploited for everything they were worth.

The fact that you know non-union guys that work in a similar environment shows that unions aren't needed.

I don't blame people for joining them though.

If you think I think all union members are democrat, you’re a fool. I know they’re hard working baws.

But do yourself a favor, look at who your leaders throw money at all the damn time. It’s sad you’re a member of such an organization that doesn’t agree with you politically.

I don’t care who the hell they support. I know
Who I support, and that’s all I give a shite about. That’s typical liberal shite, when people care about what everyone else is doing, and don’t agree because it doesn’t fit their beliefs.

While the Big 3 were all in bankruptcy and getting federal bailouts, BMW spent a billiondollars expanding a plant in South Carolina.
Last I checked, most of these employees are non-union. Oh yea, and BMW - a luxury automaker - is actually profitable, and still was, even during the crisis. GM, Ford, Chrysler, friends (or frenemies) of the UAW? Saved only by the largess and questionably-legal bailout actions of the Government

I have an AR, I drive a GMC, I cheer for the Tigers, and I support TRUMP and the USA. And I’m Union. If that one fact alone makes you dislike me, so be it. I’ll still sleep good tonight.

VW plant in Chattanooga has been a battleground for UAW for years.

So far the workers have voted not to unionize twice. The VW atlas is made here. We own one and it is great.

Course the old man and all my uncles fought in WWII so I am a bit biased.

Food for thought...

When Sam Walton was alive their colors were Red, White, and Blue and all there advertising stressed they bought US products to sell to US consumers.

After Sam died the kids shipped all the manufacturing outside the US and changed the colors to light blue and yellow.

I am neither for nor against the theory of unions. I am against people that take advantage of things. That attitude festers in unions therefore I am generally against them.

I don't dislike you. I don't know you, but I also didn't feel the need to start a thread like this.

I think you are blind to the truth.

Not all Union workers are Democrat or vote Democrat.

The best way to not have to defend a useless employee is to not hire useless people

If you enjoy vacations, safety standards, paternity leave etc, thank a Union. Nothing was given. Everything was fought for. Without Unions, working conditions and pay will diminish.

Not all Unions are the same. I worked at a Union plant for 40 years. I don’t receive a pension from the Union. Not all are structured the same.
