Did he ever admit to killing Dallas Police officer J.D. Tippit?

Oswald was an idiot and a nut. So was Jack Ruby. It was a perfect storm in 1963 Dallas.

I just re-watched the 2 hour long documentary on this last week on Smithsonian channel. Forgot how crazy that week or two was. It showed a lot of crazy things but the biggest was, how unprepared our law enforcement and media was for this type of situation. So many people were allowed to be where they should not have been.

I still dont know what I think about the whole thing. Im no conspiracist but if you doing think someone couldn't be railroaded, even at that level, you are blind

Oswald was geari g up for a Trial of the Century where he would use the court and media coverage to wage a campaign for Marxist-Leninist ideals.

He was an attention seeking leftist with anger issues and no perspective.

That's how he was able to assassinate a President. Nobody took him seriously because he was a loser.

He's exhibit A of why groups like Antifa need to be under constant surveillance.

He wasn't totally unknown. He appeared in a few debate formats on WDSU in nola defending the virtues of communism.

I had always had my suspicions, especially after watching the movie JFK which took much liberty.

Years and years later I visited the 6th Floor Museum in Dallas. The corner where is Oswald is said to have shot is glassed in and one cannot stand there. What one can do is stand in the window adjacent to it and look down. One can also go to the 5th floor in that corner and look at the shot.

Up and until I stood there and looked at it, I always thought that when the motorcade turned, the street went at a 90 degree angle. But when you look at it, the street turns back at almost a 45 degree angle from the building.

Stand there and look at it. For a fairly long time you have a clean shot going almost directly away from you. Plus for the motorcade to turn left and then turn almost back into itself, means that the motorcade would almost have to stop to do it. Then from a dead stop to parade speed you have plenty of time to get three shots off if one is trained.

My take on it was that Oswald did it alone.

Another take which is also pure fiction is 11/22/63 by Steven King. King went to great lengths exploring all the connections and based much of that on his own research. Of course it’s a book that has a lot going on in it that doesn’t have anything to do with assassination, but it’s a good read.

TLDR: shot would have been easy for anyone with training. I make worse shots from my deer stand each season.

#1 If you believe in a conspiracy then you believe that Ruth Payne was involved. She had to be since she was Oswald's connection to get a job at the Book Depository. You also must believe that Roy Truly, the man who hired Oswald there, was involved. In 56 years there has never been any evidence that either has had any connections to the FBI, CIA, mafia, or any other group conspiracy theorists point the finger at.

#2 You also have to believe that Jack Ruby, running late as it is, decided to risk missing Oswald all together when he stopped off at Western Union to wire one of his employee $25 to pay her rent like 3 minutes before he shot Oswald. You'd also have to believe that Oswald himself was involved in his own end as the only reason he hadn't been transported long before Ruby arrived at the police station was because he asked for a change of clothes.

#3 The physical evidence overwhelmingly shows that all shots came from the 6th floor of the book depository. The infamous "magic bullet" presupposes that Kennedy and Connelly were seated on a level plane, but in reality we know that model Lincoln had a front seat that was sunken around 13 inches below the rear seat. When corrected the trajectory shows Lee Harvey Oswald was the only one who could have fired that shot.

Well done. But these are one of those issues where despite the overwhelming evidence that Oswald did it, people want to believe in a conspiracy.

The exact same thing with the WTC towers. You can't convince people to look at the proof when all they want to see is the shadows.

Reclaiming History

I believed in conspiracy until I read this, plus heard Rush Limbaugh make a simple quote about why people wanted a conspiracy theory.

Old family story: I had an aunt (she passed away, years ago) who swore up and down she had a casual conversation with LHO and Jack Ruby in City Park (NOLA) during the summer of 1963. Her husband told her to keep her mouth shut about it, and she did.

Well, you know women and secrets.

Pretty sure he meant on a larger scale. But that was long before Twitter and FB.

Lee Harvey Oswald

One of two things are true about him.

A. He was the most highly skilled marksmen in the history of mankind, capable of landing multiple shots on a moving target with a bolt action rifle not known for being that accurate to begin with, a feat that not even the best snipers in the world, including Carlos Hathcock himself, have successfully duplicated under the same circumstances despite multiple attempts.

Or

B. He was a patsy.
