If you buy the theory then Oswald knew he was the fall guy
Oswald used the term patsy himself
He was under duress at the time
If I remember correctly wasn’t he promising some big reveal in the interrogation room? We never saw the actual interview notes and it was not recorded

We will never know

I don’t buy that ruby was connected to it, but I believe he did the job someone else would have done later

Ruby was an opportunist

No. Dallas County District Attorney Henry Wade (of later Roe v Wade fame) said he was sullen and "denied everything."

I’m not big on conspiracy theories but 3 things about this case bother me.

1. Oswald’s defection to the Soviet Union and subsequent return to the US without any legal hang ups. This surely would have been neigh on impossible during the heavy days of the Cold War. This doesn’t pass the smell test unless he was “sent” to the USSR.

2. Oswald’s relationship with George de Mohrenschildt. This mans background needs a lot more investigation.

3. Oswald’s shooting of JD Tippit. Tippit was known to work security details at some of the bars in Dallas that Ruby frequented. A detailed investigation into his background is needed.

Carlos Marcello with the help of Santo Trafficante pulled off the Oswald/Ruby portion of the assassination. Read the book - Mafia Kingfish by John H. Davis.
Fascinating book with facts and the motive to back it up. Jim Garrison was close, but he did not get it right.

Watch JFK: The Smoking Gun. This shows a ballistic account of each shot that was taken with a theory that the head shot that was the fatal wound was an accidental discharge from a Secret Service members AR-15 in the followup car.

I truly believe it was a combination of these 2 things. An assassination attempt where the chaos of the situation caused a tragic accident to happen and it cost JFK his life.

If you are really into the Kennedy Assassination, I highly recommend checking out both the book and the documentary.

Maybe it was the CIA that radicalized Oswarld. His mental health was studied from his military history, he was groomed and directed to do what he did.

Induced paranoia with limitless resources.

I'll take you up on the suggestion. But if it in any way puts a bunch of responsibility on Jack Ruby to "silence the patsy", well then, that notion is utter horse shite.

How is this still a thing?

The jump seat “discovery” changed everything. Every single part of Oswald solo theory has been replicated - timing, accuracy, line of sight, exploding head, single bullet, etc.

EV. ERY. THING.

Oswald was a blowhard pussy with a flare for lunacy. You’re expecting the sad sap who “attempted suicide” - Russia didn’t even want him for frick’s sake - to suddenly encompass resounding accountability after taking down a national hero? Sheesh. Oswald is the OG dindu.

Curious as to how many here have been to Dealey Plaza and stood below the 6th floor window and on the road. If there had been any doubt in my mind Oswald was solo, standing in Dealey would’ve cured it.

The most interesting part of the assassination for me has always been how the government tried to open and close the investigation to fit the predetermined narrative and instead ended up fanning the flames.

We all know the Warren Commission wasn’t designed to get at the truth but instead was designed to make sure this didn’t force us into a war with the Soviets. That makes sense in a way but it’s also how you end up with stupid shite like the magic bullet theory. Hell the CIA and FBI didn’t even bother to release their info in Oswald.

You also had operation mongoose and the CIA, RFK, Dulles and Helms and many others didn’t want that going public. Everyone had a vested interest in making sure the public thought Oswald acted alone. And he may have, but I’ve always thought the governments role in trying to push the narrative was suspicious.

The Oswald family is from Covington, LA and Oswald Road is just north of Abita Springs. We are currently discussing this on a LA centric message board. Many of the posters are from LA. JFK came to LA several times.

But that doesn’t explain why Oswald denied it. It was a political murder. Why not own it?

For the same reason he ran out of the building as quickly as possible and disappeared into the crowd - he was trying to get away with it.

If he wanted to own it he would have remained on the third floor of the book depository and surrendered himself as soon as the police arrived.

There's a seat with Oswald's name on it at the Bon Temps bar a few blocks away. He lived on Magazine IIRC.

Which is easier to believe:

- a lone wolf wacko did it

- the government conspired to murder the president, and not a single government worker leaked anything to the press
