Its so annoying because the Yang UBI proposal came along with a well outlined FUNDING PLAN.

All these ideas of just throwing in as much money as possible is just completely absurd.

At first I was going to say they pull them out their arse.
Then I realized that’s not possible because that’s where their head is.

Correct, she wants to redistribute your nickels to everyone else.

Well, if it’s coming from Kamala Harris, then I’m guessing she was somewhere on her knees when the inspiration struck.

You influx that much cash in the economy and we’ll end up like Germany in the 1900’s with a wheelbarrow of marks needed to buy a loaf of bread.

We did almost as much with the first stimulus. It just wasn't all direct payments to individuals. Of course that's contingent on how long this situation goes on for. The retroactive portion and the 3 months after portion are pretty ridiculous

So should I but a new house before inflation, or wait for a housing bust?

They have my info and can start depositing whenever they are ready. It’s just taxes I have paid over the years anyway.

If they do this, this is what running into the store for a loaf of bread will look like in the near future.

I love how people see money going directly to citizens and scream OMGGGG INFLATION AND DEBT, but when TRILLIONS are going into the markets no one says shite.

This is a GREAT idea, because the moment this passes, the government will have every incentive to end the emergency and all the stupid closings.

I mean, sure, inflation will mean that my $8,000 will buy 2 cups of coffee.

Seriously, where do these senators come up with these ideas??

I guess your downvoters think the government spending $350,000,000,000 + A MONTH, not including the payments for children, sounds like a good idea. And not like the most insane thing that's ever been proposed in the history of the U.S.
