LINK

A family of four with the adults making under 200K joint, with two kids under 17, would get $8,000 per month, tax free, for a while.

This is a GREAT idea, because the moment this passes, the government will have every incentive to end the emergency and all the stupid closings.

I mean, sure, inflation will mean that my $8,000 will buy 2 cups of coffee.

Seriously, where do these senators come up with these ideas??

Trying to outbid Trump bucks with Dem bucks to buy votes? Highest bidder wins the election.

They deferred to AOC for the math. That’s how they came up with this.

The maximum benefit would go to joint filers under the income limit with three or more children. In that case, they would receive $10,000 per month - $2,000 per adult and $6,000 for their three children.

The bill also would make these payments retroactive to March and they would continue for three months after when the Health and Human Services Department declared the public health emergency has ended.

Holy shite

I think they have every intention of having to negotiate that number downward knowing the GOP won’t go for that. They’ll compromise and we’ll probably all end up with what we had last time for two more months.

That’s just my opinion on what to actually expect.

She needs to get a refund on her economics degree. Assuming she paid anything for it in the first place.

With absolutely no way to ever pay that back. You influx that much cash in the economy and we’ll end up like Germany in the 1900’s with a wheelbarrow of marks needed to buy a loaf of bread.

Kamala doesn't want to give you a fricking nickel if we're being technical.

When you want to buy a car, you do your research, walk in, and tell the salesman you will offer then, oh I don't know, 70% of invoice. They will tell you no but they will counter, and the games begin.

If you go in and offer $3.50 for a new car, they throw you out the door.

I can understand wanting more payments, but what Kamala offered is throw you out the door territory.
