They actually do have them. They're called caramel puffs or something. Tasted like the real beaver nuggets

I'm down in Port Aransas and there is a Texan down here. It's nice but it's way overpriced and not nearly as nice as Buccees. Diesel is literally forty cents more than than the gas station one hundred feet away across the street.

Hard pass for me on the Texan.

Bryan Texas opened up a Duckies to do just this. Pretty sure they got sued because 1 month in they changed names and got rid of all their Duckies stuff

The Beaver has sued several folks for trademark violations such as knockoff cartoon mascots. One dude opened a Buky’s and claimed it was his childhood nickname. Texas Monthly has written about some of them.

At one point every loaf of bread sold in stores came as a solid loaf. Then one company, I think it was Wonder Bread, started selling their loaves sliced. As soon as other bread companies saw it was a hit, they started slicing their bread. That was almost 100 years ago.

That was the best thing since sliced bread

Add Lit Pizza to this mix as well. They adopted the concept from Blaze Pizza and beat Blaze to the marketplace in Louisiana.

Also Sonic and Bumpers

Typically it’s south Louisianans becoming Texans. Not really any migration towards La these days.

I like that place. It’s nice and clean just like buccees without the crowds.

Buccees has gotten too big. I don’t like going there anymore. Too many people unless you go at a very unusual time. Not a fun experience anymore.

Side note for I-10 travelers. Prasaks is a very good place to stop. It’s better than the Texan.

Stucky’s reminds me of Sears. They had everything in place to dominate the market.

My son and I stopped there a couple of weeks ago on our way back from orientation at Texas State where he starts in august. There is a buc-cees at the exit off i10 to go to college but it was packed and a shite show of cars so I waited and exited there and took a chance

Yes it had clean restrooms and all sorts of snacks and things just like buc-cees with 15 people in it so it was right up my alley.

I will stop in schulenberg when I make the trip back to Houston from going to San Marcos from now on

My son stopped at the buc-cess in Luling texas about 2 hours ago, and said the traffic jam to get in was backed up on I-10, not the access road.

He said he had to pee
