Amazon slipping as a whole.
They push a lot of Chinese junk. Very annoying when you search a product and select it from auto search results and all shows up is off brand crap.

It's been a bit hit or miss for me. Somethings are arriving in 2 days some are taking 3-5. Doesn't impact my life that much. If there is something I need quick, I just go get it.

amazon has been blowing it with deliveries. Although, I ordered something that was Fedex and it showed up the next evening which is very odd.

Put all competition out by taking losses and not being forced to collect sales tax.

Now that competition is gone they can make a profit and provide shitty service and products.

Everything is a week’s delay. Sometimes longer. These are Prime identified items. This an example of a company getting out over it’s skis?

I've never had this problem with prime.

Other items that aren't prime eligible? I've had problems with those almost every time. I ordered a part for my washing machine that ended up getting delivered 2 weeks after the last possible delivery date that Amazon gave.

ETA: if I do have problems with prime delivery, it's typically because mailman is being lazy and doesn't want to get out of the vehicle to drop it off. I had 3 packages in one week where they said they could not access my driveway/front door.

Since I am in logistics I looked up Amazon's warehouses in DFW just out of curiosity. They have about 18 in the area. I am covered.

I used to be die hard buy local.

Called an auto parts store that I have been faithful to the last 42 years. I knew exactly what I wanted to buy. The clerk kept inferring that I neede something different.

If I can use industry nomenclature sh should too. She couldn’t understand what I wanted.
I went online and sent her pictures of what I wanted to buy. With part numbers by manufacturer. Nope.

I bought the part on Amazon. Delivery Monday. Savings 75.00. 25%.

I have learned my lesson.

I have Prime and it's been very poor for the past few months. It was once excellent; however, it has slipped considerably.

I was going to try to help out Penney's and buy some underwear (not local but they need the help).

They wanted $30 for a 6 pack. Amazon had a 9 pack for $9.98.

You're on your own Penney's.

Depends on where you live I guess.

Today I ordered something at 11:15 and it got delivered at 4:50. Not bad.

My shipping delays stopped a couple months ago. In fact, something I ordered yesterday arrives tomorrow, right on time.

I just ordered something on prime. The package made it to my town in two days then went to Mississippi and finally made it to my mailbox 2 days late. Wow!

That's what they want you to think. Have had several things show as shipped and delivered tomorrow, only to get a delayed message. No idea why that happens.

It was shite during the height of the "shutdown", but has gotten back to normal for the most part. I do expect it to go to shite again soon, though.

Well, Amazon’s $6.2B income says it’s not the majority. Maybe the majority on the board, of whom Jeff Bazos could literally buy and sell everyone of us 5x over and still have change in his left pocket.

OP probably started this thinking people would hate on Amazon and Bezos for being liberal. Carry on.
