It is stupid, and incredibly played out.

Just like "germans", some people see something on a message board, think it's the cool thing to do and want to earn cool points by using it (hey, if I use this phrase, maybe they'll like me!), and at that point it's saturated the entire place and it won't go away.

It's painfully unfunny and, at this point, unoriginal.

I'm not as old as you, but baw was pretty common in Vermilion parish when I was growing up.

I got 4 down votes for sharing a childhood memory. Lol

Tough today.

That was the one. I was surprised nobody figured it out. I didnt really hide it well.

How do you remember this shite? I've put far too many foreign substances through my head to have a memory like that.

Think of it as an ad hoc but highly effective early warning system for douchebaggery.

Remember when you told the story how you came down for a game or something, and attended a big OTGT, and you went around shaking everyone's hands and saying "Hi, I'm ThaKaptin, what's your handle"?

I do. Had a fantastic time too. Met several folks from on here. I find the whole idea of "I cant let anyone know who I am" mentality stupid. I wouldnt give out my name of course just because there are idiots on here that would use it for evil but the whole "too cool to let you know who I am" mentality just seems stupid to me.

And for the record, thats not exactly how it went down but when I learned that someone was a poster that I was interested in talking to, I told them who I was. Met some cool people. No regrets.

think most people said "yeah well who the frick is Kaptain?, don't think I've ever seen you post before.", 2016 otgt doe the Moo state game posters would be like "yeah well who tee frick is Kaptain?, don't think I've ever read one of your post"

Naaa I met Kaptain that night not meaning too... Think I just happened to run into some OTers at Lucy's or somewhere and and an hour later he or someone else was like "yeah that's Kaptain, an OTer"

Then Alexa dipped off leaving the two guys that followed her around like puppy dogs at the time in love with her to go and try to track down her ex who had been af a HS reunion that night prolly beating old flings out the frame.

I remember hearing that, and it would make me laugh every time I thought about it. I imagined a big group of people, and one dude by himself, walking from person to person, hand extended"

TK: "Hi, I'm ThaKaptain, nice to meet you".
Everyone else: "Hi, I'm _____________(insert real name)
TK: "OK, nice to meet you. I got a lot more people to meet, so gotta run".

Then, as he walks off, those left in his wake, looking at each other, "wtf was that"?????

STFU nerd.

Sucks for you having square as friends that don't joke around.

My buddies have been saying a variation of baw for over a decade as a joke/greeting well b4 it was on TD, & you need to get over yourself

I think this guy (not saying baw) is one of the least fun posters on here.

As for baw... my old man hails from St. Landry parish and anytime he ends a call with an old buddy of his, he says "OK baw! (Insert a wisecrack followed by a "take it easy!"). Had another childhood friend whose dad was from Ville Platte and said the same thing. Never really thought about it till I saw people saying it on here. Laughed pretty hard when I made the realization.

If thats how you want to spin the way it happened then I guess you can say whatever makes you feel better about yourself. I'm a nice guy, for the most part. I like meeting people and having a good time, which I did. I understand you have to hold to your shtick though.

I'm sure theres plenty of shite of y'alls I could bring up if I cared enough to but I've never given enough of a shite about that kind of thing to hold on to it that long. Do your thing though. I honestly just wanted to know where baw came from because, not being from LA, I'd never heard it before the first time I saw it here.

Don't get panties in a wad Baw.. Just giving you a little shite....

Don't worry worry you aren't alone,
There is a handful more of other Bama posters that are insignificant also. As well as a handful of other posters that were madly in love with Alexa's golden vagina for some crazy reason to.
