Chris Franklin wins because he just discarded all the other models and went with the Euro and was talking about way less rainn during yesterday's coverage.
David Bernard was still going with Euro and GFS and all the Fox8 people had to reference their terrible Vipir model which on Thursday night still had Barry going to Houston.

I can’t remember what storm it was, perhaps Isaac, but a good 8 or so years ago Bob Breck was on framing out and talking about how the FOX Vipir system was saying the storm still had Cat 3/4 potential when the consensus was a Cat 1 was as high as it would get.

Definitely Isaac. My daughter was a month old and the storm arrived on the anniversary of Katrina (8/29/12). My wife trusted Bob and his histrionics had us both worried as new parents even though we'd been through Katrina and Gustav. We never lost power for a minute in Metairie and I spent 3 months eating all the damn granola bar hurricane provisions since Bob said we'd all be living in the dark for weeks after Isaac.

I thought Bob sounded a little crazy for a relatively small storm but I doubted my instinct "because he's on the news". He lost a lot of credibility with his big overreaction and thankfully he retired soon after, I'm glad he's gone.

More importantly I learned you can't trust any of these media frickers because they treat every storm like it's their personal Super Bowl despite the reality of the situation.

Cause Bob Breck knew he couldn't hold Nash's jock strap deep down and was a fraud right down to Breck's really bad toupee.

Edit: You sound like you have personal knowledge the of this situation. I'm too young to know Nash's prime years but I remember when WWL pulled him out of mothballs and he was the only guy to get it right on Georges in 1998.

I think that Pat gets his weather info from magic 8 ball. Weather guesstimater should be his job title.

Margaret Orr is the worst and does nothing but copy stuff from NOAA. I like Jay Grimes he is very good. I have always tended to watch WWL 4 for my weather info. I think they have always been the most consistent. It might have been a guess on her part but on friday Alexandra Cranford basically predicted exactly what Barry did.
