how did they broadcast the landing from the moon with the technology in the 1960s?

They launched the Apollo rocket based on a design using a slide rule, and it's on-board computers had less processing power than a cell phone. I think they could figure it out.

NASA had a large telescope. When the astronauts arrived on the moon, they lit a signal fire to communicate.

So if I took my cell phone to the moon I could shoot a video and broadcast it on Facebook?
