Protestants are the reason you get to enjoy this country.

Too bad their leaders seem to have a penchant for little boys.

Driving down 190 the other day between BR and Opelousas I counted at least three "churches" in crappy metal buildings or strip malls. One looked like a lawnmower shed and had a sign that said something like "Word of Life Ministries" or similar.
OT: I can't believe churches spend all this money instead of helping the poor.
Also the OT: These churches spending money on the poor and not their own facilities just be scams.
I handled the books for churches that were barely making it, and regularly they moved into cheaper areas so they could continue to donate money to the unfortunate. Are some of these scams, sure, but the absolute quickness you put these places down because they don't "look correct" is obnoxious

My youngest daughter and her husband are ministers, just started their own church.
They utilize a gymnasium (cheap) until they find an appropriate building. Most starter churches work this way.

And pour a few bucks into the “worship experience” by adding a rock band for praise and worship, and a few fog machines.

So if I wanted to start my own protestant church... I'd need, what, a building?
Real Protestants still have well thought out reasons to not be in communion with the Roman Catholic Church. You might disagree with the reasons, but that's not the point. The point is, they contemplate these things.
What you're describing, those "members" couldn't tell you the difference between either, and they don't care.
Real Protestants call themselves reformed catholics, and are waiting for Rome to acknowledge them once again.
End of rant.

DeRidder is the largest city in Beauregard Parish and at one time held the Guinness World Record of most churches per capita. Was there any room for another church? God answered with a resounding, "Yes"
I personally attend the “Beaver Lick Baptist Church. It’s beaver lickin’ good!

Secretaries are fine. Stay away from the kids. Also troubled female parishioners work too....you must minister to them individually and intimately....especially the married and recently widowed.
Never start with a tithe....work your way up to it with you ultimately wanting a tithe on the gross income side.
Learn how to prance a little and the correct way to hold an open Bible.....explaining scripture correctly or even coherently is a nice touch, but not an absabsolute must. Just quote scripture confidently.
Then secure a lease at a suburban or urban strip mall....preferably suburban....more money.

One of my high school buddies started one and has gotten rich from it.
He has a 899K home with four new cars/trucks in the driveway.
He was always a little overly religious so I guess it was his calling.
There was a bunch of Facebook Karen's after him a while back about For Profit Ministry. .

If you want a really interesting story about an early Protestant sect you should look up Hardcore History-Prophets of Doom
About the anabapists that took over Münster in the mid 1530s.
Good stuff
