Lots of leeches in the waters of Central Arkansas and Southern Missouri.
Used to canoe and camp those areas a lot with friends when I lived in Tulsa. Was always fun times conducting body searches on our dates after swimming/canoeing.
One buddy went home and dropped his camp stuff at his Mom's garage, gave her a hug, and a Rocky Mountain Fever infected tick from the hug. 3 days later she was in the hospital.

I stopped eating taco bell when I bit into one and it had the full plastic bag tie in it, I almost choked on. My wife and kid still ate it for about a year until recently my wife for a full formed bug (not a parts of one) that was pretty big. My issue was at the TB by Rouses in youngsville, I don't remember the TB the wife went to.
