But, we just needed the tiny bit of fuel the lunar module could hold to descend and ascend back to the command module. Even with the reduced gravity that makes me ask questions.
The fact that you call 12 tons of fuel a “tiny amount” pretty much explains it all. 70% of the total mass of the LM was fuel.
As for the rest, getting to LEO is the hardest step. It’s why talk of moon bases as a refueling step is being talked about. You can easily top off there and go wherever you wanted in the solar system.

Just shows you don't know history. See Friendship 7, Gemini 4, Gemini 8, Apollo 1 and 13. To say early NASA didn't have problems is disingenuous. Come on.

Weren't some of those you mentioned after the moon landing?
If you can’t look at those mission names and know the sequence then you really shouldn’t be commenting on anything space related.

Nah.
If you think Mercury/Gemini/etc missions were after the moon landing you know exactly jack shite about the program. Just a series of headlines you parrot. No melting required.
There was only one on his list that was after, and it still fits in discounting your bullshite statement that everything was smooth before till the 80s.

I'm just glad the Soviets played along and didn't tell everyone we were faking it

Worst of all you dolts are shitting on the legacy and memory of the three astronauts who died in the Apollo 1 capsule fire.
They gave her lives not worried about the Van Allen Belts and believing they'd eventually get their shot on a landing.
And all you numbnutts that think we can circle the Moon but not land on it can KMA.
The whole conspiracy theory is based on the radiation Belts being impossible to pass.

Nope
Not sure you talking to me. I never said jack shite about either of those.
Anyway, keep melting. You know what you read or see in old videos. That makes you as uninformed as anyone.
Bye

Money. It's all about funding, and the will of the government and the people
In today's dollars, we spent $350 billion over the 10 year Apollo program
Again, in today's dollars, we spent $250 billion over the 30 year space shuttle program.

Do one of you moon landing experts know how much fuel and oxygen the lunar lander needed to carry in order to take off from the moon?
Less than 5,0000 lbs. Almost nothing.

If you watch the videos of the astronauts on the moon, half the time they are acting like 6 year olds giggling and playing grabass. That seems strange for what we were told were some of the most buttoned down men in the world in a terrifying environment where failure of just one component meant certain death. That also seems strange to me.
I see you've never been around combat arms types in the military.
ETA: And based on your follow up posts, I also see you've never studied math or physics.

Why is there no video? Why can't one of these astronauts take a phone up to the window and show the earth? All we have are a few still, flat images that we already had 60 years ago. If it's a real mission, what a huge waste of everyone's time.
They had an opportunity here to quiet a lot of critics, but for whatever reason they can't do it. Why not have a camera outside the capsule showing the whole earth? Show some motion. Show some planes flying upside down. Show us what space looks like with the moon at your back. Nothing.

Nice. So we landed in the moon this week?

Serious question, I haven’t heard of any proofs they’ve shared granted I haven’t looked at social media or turned on the tv hardly at all since this weekend
What an amazing feat for millions of people over decades to be able to keep a secret like that

If they could fake it back then, I would imagine they could do a much better job with AI and CGI today.....
lol.
You aren't going to convince the doubters.

No I’m talking about video. Something new. We had those same pictures 60 years ago.

ere's an example of what ypu idiots think is real. My God.
It doesn't prove we didnt go to the moon. It does prove exactly what I've said. Fake sgit was put out there, I guess by NASA to help dramatize the mission. And thats the reason deniers exist.
ps.....youre gonna LOVE the rotation in the background!!!!
P.S. got link to the real video instead of that AI bullshite? You're so clueless you don't even know there's no way they could have filmed those shots. How the F would they have a camera outside the Gemini capsule like that?
