It ain't politically correct but everytime I hear or read "Sickle Cell" I think of Richard Pryor and the Vampire....
"You wanna suck what? Suck some blood? (racial slur)! You wanna suck some blood go down to the blood bank...I hope you get Sickle Cell....."
Not a laughing matter at all but Richard Pryor said it I didn't....

Is there nothing Trump can’t get done?
They are going to have a tough time spinning this one.

Going to need a ton of money tk give it away for free - estimates for treatment with Lyfgenia are $3 million.

Not sure if serious but the treatment was approved under the Biden FDA in 2023.

CRSPR? Lot of words in there and still requires one to decipher what the treatment might be.
ETA: it mentioned gene therapy and 23 fda approval so I assume it’s by the Crispr therapeutics co.

Wrong.
I learned on this board doctors don’t want to cure people.
They just want them chronically ill

I hope so.
Neighbors kids fight with it pretty bad.
I've seen ambulances at their houses at night several times.

You should read any thread about cancer on this board if you think no one said that.
There is a constant refrain of curing a patient means a lost customer and that they make more money with filling patients full of poisons

I went to a professional meeting on this subject 20 years ago. They were using stem cells and we're having good results. I don't remember much after that since it didn't pertain to people I know.
