Most Jews and even many Arabs consider themselves white (not WASPs obviously). I know or i guess knew Arab immigrants that made sure they were considered white and definitely not black when immigrating. This was before 9/11, victimhood, and expanded identity politics; so the white part probably has changed but not the black part.
