Probably not because they would look at his sheet and realize he is on probation and then want to see the gun and arrest him for illegal possession.... And as a habitual offender he is GONE..........

If he was selling drugs, why wouldn't the cops have come out and said that already? I mean it would calm some people down. Cops shoot drug dealer is a lot better than cops shoot man selling CDs.

Have you seriously never heard of someone selling CDs or DVDs. Tjey get it bootlegged somewhere and sell it dirt cheap like $5 or less. Plenty people buy them.. Yes it is technically illegal but it happens.

So piracy is punishable by death in your world? It doesn't matter if he was selling music illegally, selling drugs, or any other illicit behavior, he deserves due process. If he reached for a gun, his killing was justified. Nothing else can justify his killing.

I fully expect Metallica to bring the pain to his family for stealing music

I have not seen one person say he deserved to be shot for selling CDs or drugs. Most of us watched the videos knowing how horrible they would be to form our own opinions. His resisting and going for his gun is the reason he didn't go home that night

He resisted arrest. That is a fact. One of the cops thought he was going for a gun. This is also a fact. He got shot.

Don't fight the cops. Your chances of dying go up exponentially when you do.

Look who his likely clientele was. Not exactly a list of people renowned for their intelligence and reasoning, nor are they likely to sustain a paid utility like internet access for them to download their tunes.

No way. They were called out there because he was reportedly brandishing a gun. He was getting arrested one way or the other.

Unfortunately, it's really hard to tell from the video what he was doing. I'd like to think that police officers these days are not dumb enough to play judge, jury, and executioner with the number of cameras that are everywhere and under the current climate.

The MN case sounds like a nervous trigger, but the police in Baton Rouge were clearly struggling with the man when they shot him.

Because of the second amendment, police in our country are going to carry guns to protect themselves and the public they serve from people choosing to turn their guns on others.

Many people have called for the police to use less lethal alternatives, but tasers and other devices get abused when they should be more patient in handling a situation. I agree that police tactics in our country need to change. Studies show that safety and overall attitude regarding law enforcement change when officers patrol on foot and interact with the community.

Then there is no point in this entire thread.

What does the selling of CDs have to do with any of this?

The point was talking about the real reason he was out there. That's it. Not determining if he was justifiably shot.

Arrested not even a month prior for possession of ex and weed. Only a dumbass would believe he needed a gun for the stacks of cash he was pulling in from selling CDs

Never mind the question of who the frick buys bootleg CDs on a street corner in the hood at 12:30 am?

So how would anything be different if he was there just to buy a coke?
