That's my concern.
In many areas of the country, students are trying to interact with each other but do so smartly. If this "LSU" board is representative of the majority in Louisiana, I fear LSU will not have in-person classes which, by the way, means no LSU football.

Let your kid go to school..get the Wuflu ....and then get over it. This is not a threat to your child unless he/she has major health issues.

Well they had at least that many cases of VD a week during my days (probably just at sports) and it still made it ok.....

Everyone should follow the guidelines. The bars and the patrons and very few get sick.
I don’t think you realize what is going on in the bars in Tigerland. They’re packing people in and no one is paying attention to the guidelines.
You can think the guidelines are dumb but they work.
As long as there is no cure, the bars and patrons just follow the guidelines. If they do, things stay open. Since they won’t, they’re being shut down.
Your actions have negative impacts on other people. You get sick, you get others sick- some of which are at risk. You don’t seem to care about that

Social distancing doesn’t prevent infection permanently. It spreads out infections slowly.
It’s probably a good thing that a bunch of young people get these mild and asymptotic cases. Think about your daughter’s case. Her roommates will have had it and gotten over it by the time school starts. So now there is no risk of infection to your daughter inside her apartment.

Hundreds of LSU students, many with allergy like cold symptoms, got tested over the past 2 weeks and were shown as negative. Mostly the positives are students who actually feel like shite, however, they feel better after like 3 days, so idk about the whole “14 day quarantine” thing
I havent heard of any friends or friends of friends to get a positive test without significant symptoms yet honestly

If you’re trying to work some sort of herd immunity - forget it. Not going to happen.

There have have been a lot of asymptotic positives. Now that we are in Phase II we have a bunch of people that are being assigned to pods or have restricted interactions with certain people. When one pops positive, everyone exposed gets tested regardless of symptoms. There have been a lot of positives from these groups.
Everyone wanted contact tracing. This is contact tracing.

Hopefully but it is isn’t a certainty. And it may take years. You can’t shut down society for a low risk infection for years in end waiting for a vaccine.
LA cases have increased but hospitalizations are still flat - again a good thing.
We are seeing young and healthy getting the vast majority of these case and they are mild or asymptotic.

There is no need to slow the rate of spread to a group that is minimal to no risk.

There have been a miniscule amount of people to have zero symptoms or very very light symptoms that have been tested as LSU students. At least the ones I know. Shite I got tested a few days ago and I wasnt randomly given a positive just because i know people with it. Everyone that I know that had a positive test also has claimed to feel like absolute dog shite.
Not giving the virus unnecessary power, i do think its just the flu or slightly more mild than the flu when it comes to healthy young people, but it isnt some thing that rarely even shows symptoms in young people like some people think
You keep saying it’s mostly “asymptomatic” in college kids which is just not true for the majority. Its very small risk of severity, but it is a shitty illness to get still
