Maybe not a good idea to ski in those conditions?

Deep snow equals some of the best conditions. Just so happened the poor bastard crashed into a well. Had a coworker lose a son this way. Nobody saw he was missing until too late.
Some scary shite.

That is awesome that he was even found. Props to that guy for finding him and calmly rescuing him.

Holy shite. The guy is extremely lucky.

Pretty fricking close.
You don’t do snow sports apparently.

Deep airy powder is the ultimate in snow conditions. It is best when just your upper torso is above the snow.

Right. But most ski resorts have areas like they were skiing in roped off for good reason.

Nah man skiing fresh pow is worth the risk.

Didn’t hear from the article they were out of bounds. Just backcountry riding. Nevertheless inside or outside the ropes you can get into trouble if you aren’t careful.

That was intense. What a lucky SOB that the skier happen to run over his board and actually noticed it.

The best ski resorts have tons of back country like that. Hell, my fav has Heli skiing where they will fly you into the back country and drop you off at the top and meet you at the bottom.
