2008 had an overnight snowfall during finals week in December. It was about 3-4 inches? Melted in the afternoon haha

That December 2008 snow was the morning of my last final that semester. Very fond memory.

Same. Finals, but we were in Hammond. Got 6.5”

NWS called for up to a 1/2” of slush. I couldn’t even see the sky for the snow at 6 am.

I need to check him out. I have been following some guy on facebook for years and he has a serious hardon for that dude. He is always bitching about him. Need to see what it is all about.

Had over 8 inches in my yard east Ponchatoula. If someone had told me we would one day get that much snow I would have told them they were stupid, but it happened.

Wife misses NOLA. I would be happy to stay frozen. We'll be back west before summer, be it because I got a NWS gig or we just want to escape the summer.

Me too.

Im applying to grad schools but dude I dont want to do any more schooling at this point.

Thinking I get this website idea off the ground once Im back down in NOLA. Figure what better way to show I can do it than to do it.

I was looking at the professional met MS program at State. Maybe a little easier to get into than the A&Ms, OUs, FSUs, etc

i couldn't imagine fluids class for meteorologists, i wouldn't be surprised if the most complex fluids problems around are atmospheric models

Dynamics II and mesoscale were the hardest math because so much fluids are cooked into those subjects. Unconfined geometries but the length scales helped give some simplifying assumptions to make it deal withable.

Grad atmospheric fluids isn't quite as forgiving.

And right there we have why I just look at radars and listen to smart people.

I use math most every day. I have no use nor ability for the "hardest math".

I remember that very well, close to 8 inches in Washington Parish. Working in it is a different story, between that and an ice storm in Kentucky proved to me that I’m meant live in the south.
