I think that’s 2-3 days after duck season closes. I predict an epic blizzard.

It’s fun to hunt in the cold weather. It’s fun to have fires. It’s fun to do other things besides not sweat.

Schools in Ascension parish are already monitoring this horrific event and will make a decision by mid next week to allow parents to prepare.

The extended forecast has the following forecast for January 23rd:
High 54
Low 41
40% chance of rain. Things can obviously change 11 days from now, but the rain chances are there ..

It's supposed to be 38 tomorrow night. South Louisiana always has wild temperature swings in the winter. Shorts one day and jacket the next.

If snow is forecast 11 days out, I'd feel reasonably sure it most definitely will NOT snow.
Especially with that forecast in the OP. That looks like where it will be raining, with a chance of it turning to snow before the precipitation ends. At most, that turns in to some mushy snow that may stick to some open fields, but not on any roads.

Why do you guys watch these models ? Get another hobby. I do weather for a living. Geezzz. Don’t trust any model outside of 120 hours if that.

You weather people can’t get it right 24 hours in advance, much less 10 days...HOWEVER! Both of the sneaux events last year were predicted fairly far in advance right here on this site
