The only thing worth watching on SNL is Weekend Update with Colin Jost and Michal Che. Those dudes are funny as hell. The rest of it is trash except when they have Bargatze on.

It's a combination of misplaced nostalgia and expectations. People watch SNL with the expectation that it's supposed to be a laugh a minute, and SNL used to be a laugh a minute. In reality, SNL was never a laugh a minute and this should never be the expectation.
People get all nostalgic for the Dana Carvey/Mike Myers/Chris Farley days, but if you go back and watch those episodes, it wasn't a laugh a minute and even the most nostalgic sketches failed half the time.
If I chuckle 2 or 3 times during a SNL episode and think "that's clever," that's good enough for me.

If the American electorate wants to return to Obama-Biden-Harris Land they can begin the process to do so in a mere two years by throwing the GOP out of Congress. Then in 2028 complete the process by electing a Leftist Dem POTUS.

Folks, I'm not sure that our fellow Americans are going to keep this MAGA Movement going. When you think of all the powerful global forces, people and cabals that want the Movement to die, I must say that I do not have high hopes for its survival. I simply do not believe that in the long term, the USA has the capability to survive its Globalist Leftist evolution.

This should have been a premise ripe for SNL…but after seeing that writing room, this is purely done by people living in their liberal bubble that just want to angrily blast them, the material isn’t remotely funny, the audience isn’t laughing.
Your goal should be to be funny first that may have some social commentary within it. Not commentary under the guise of comedy.

Can you give me an example of them making fun of Obama or Biden? I do recall a couple of bits making Harris look ditzy.

Bowen Yang sucks so bad but thankfully he prevented Shane Gillis from moving to NY and being sucked into this unfunny PC era of comedy
Instead he’s flourished in YouTube and staying in Austin and rolling with the Kill Tony crew pushing real comedy forward … so I’ll forever thank Bowen for existing for that purpose

The idea that Democrat politicians don’t give SNL any material is beyond disingenuous. They literally cold opened by eulogizing Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign…they can never recover from that and trying to pretend they have some fair and balanced approach is more laughable than 99% of SNL skits. They need to just give the whole show to the Do Not Destroy kids at this point

It’s really not. America first is not bizarre. Not putting up with disrespect from a beggar seeking more funding to solve a European problem. Seeing the dudes pretending to be women under Biden, and the coverup of Biden’s mental decline and looking the other way on Putin invading Ukraine until Hunter’s laptop issue stopped being labeled “fake news” was more bizarre. All of a sudden the US went full in when it wasn’t just news they could write off as conservative came full circle on Hunter’s laptop.
Watch the entire event from the start including the 40 something minutes when things going ok prior to Zelenskyy starting stuff with our Vice President, remember Zelenskyy flew in to sign a deal that he backed away from just before this event (with alleged advice from Obama’s Susan Rice prior to backing away), remember he is wanting more money and weapons from us on top of the billions and billions he feels was about helping us as much as the Ukraine, and remember the Ukrainian pansy yelling at our secretary of the treasury before this. People like you have filled the actor’s head with delusions of grandeur of being up there with Churchill.
