Smoke detector chirping

I removed every detector in the house and took the batteries out to change them but something is still beeping inside the wall. Wtf is that?

Put new batteries in
The detectors are hard wired into your electric system and use the battery as a backup, just taking out the dead battery will not stop the chirping, putting a fresh battery will

Sounds like you're going to have to burn it down. Make sure your insurance is up to date first.

You gotta use a broom handle to knock it from the ceiling then take it out back and bury it. That's the only way to stop it.
