If it wasn't, I would certainly try to argue that Stand your Ground doesn't apply because of the "unlawful act" provision in the statute.
However, I'll readily admit I don't know the case law on it. Stand your Ground has only been in place for 10 years in La though.

Has the lawyer asked for Smith's brain to be examined for CTE yet?
I haven't followed this case very close but could see the defense arguing that Smith was enraged due to CTE.

Never said it began there, but tell me what justified this dude to not leave will alone and wanting to fight him and also he fricking hit will in the rear and lawyer confirmed by lack of confirmation that it wasn't will that hit him previously. Let me know exactly what I'm missing Lester, witness said it was Hayes freaking out on will

I'm sure they will try that.

Was Hayes' firearm legal? Was it registered?
i seriously doubt it, he has a prior recent weapon charge and a drug charge. I bet he actually cant even legally own a fire arm at this point in his life.

Outstanding fricking citizen

Was the guy going crazy with his shirt off trying to fight Smith from the seat of his car?

I've never said will was in seat of his car, no idea what you are assuming to make a argument

there are other reports that citizens felt threatened by Will Smith. So what is it?

Some of these posters have an inner desire to support this thug
not supporting him at all until more facts come out.
But as a gun owner it is scary that you are automatically condemned if you use deadly force, regardless of the facts. I know you hunt, and im sure you own a gun. That doesn't bother you at all?

there have been some assertions that if it wasnt legal hed already have a weapons charge here.
in his last arrest he eventually pleaded out to "a reduced weapons charge" and just a paraphernalia charge
theres a chance it was legal, though im skeptical too.

Learn to read Farquad.
Was the shooter in his car when being "A 6'6'' animal with his shirt off going not leaving will alone"?

Idk what happened. But something is wrong with you and your culture if a fender bender ends up with someone getting shot.

Spin job by thug attorney using Wills comments of get out of here I have a gun, when it was directed to hostile Hayes.

All I know is what witness said what was said by then m
Posted on 4/11/16 at 5:05 pm to Chad504boy
So which is it? Hayes was going nuts with his shirt off and wouldn't leave Smith alone? Or did smith tell him to "get out the car, I have a gun"?
Posted on 4/11/16 at 5:06 pm to Boomshockalocka
Maybe it was legal maybe it wasn't . This will be unpopular but if the facts come out that the shooting was justified I have no problem with him attempting to preserve his own life

Far from truth, this was someone acting like an idiot maybe even a few idiots
Posted on 4/11/16 at 5:07 pm to Chad504boy
Farquad, why are you so defensive of Will Smith?
There are two sides to every story and the truth is likely somewhere in between.
