Completed mine at home. Attached the gadgets as instructed, and tried to sleep, which I did not do much of, but reportedly did sleep enough to give results. Was very happy I did not have to stay at the sleep lab.

Home test the way to go...my score was 60 events per hour, less than one per hour with CPAP.

You won't. It was awful. Should've done it on a Friday when I didn't have work the next day.

I had to have one when I was a kid, couldn’t fall asleep the first time and had to go back again.

And you'll finally fall asleep and start dreaming only to hear "mr. Th03, we've finished the study, we will be in momentarily to remove the wires and then you can leave."

The hardest part of the entire thing was sleeping on my back instead of my stomach.

They will say that you’ll have to have another study. That one will determine that you have sleep apnea.
They’ll want you to buy a CPAP Machine, probably from a company that’s in cahoots with the company that’s performing the sleep study.
Get ready it’s a racket that will milk your insurance.

Not much sleep. Sleep apnea is a bad thing. It can cause a lot od health issues. It contributed to a quadruple by pass for myseld 3 years ago. So do it and if u do have apnea make damn sure you use the machine

There is a tv but it will have to be turned off pretty early. What really sucks is when you have to pee in the middle of the night. Don’t wait until the last minute because they have to unhook some of that stuff which takes a little time. The best part of the sleep study is around 6:00 AM when they tell you that you can leave

I didn’t get diagnosed “yet” which seems like bullshite to stretch the process out...
But I had a home sleep study kit hand delivered to me, like literally at work around 3pm. Easy strap around the head, make sure the main sensor and two side sensors are placed on skin, put the little nose air thingy in, and you’re good to go. Do that for two nights and they come pick it up.

I worried about it a lot more than I should have.

Bed was fine. All the wires were awkward, but not uncomfortable or anything. I have never slept on my back and didn't think I'd be able to, but they gave me ambien and the whole thing was a breeze.

No the first one diagnoses. The second one is a titration study to see what cpap pressure works best for you. That night of sleep is hell

The cpap is the most effective method of treatment of a very serious disorder. Do you think it should be free? Also you can buy your machine outright on eBay if you don’t want your insurance involved

I highly recommend an apap

When I had the titration study on the cpap I felt like a hair dryer was blowing down my throat all night. It was so awful that I didn’t follow through and get one

This time I got an apap and I barely feel it because it blows low until you start to have an event then it ramps up
