So if your husband is dead, you can’t post racist things on FB?

I believe her. Every week I see posts and friend requests from friends on Facebook, and I have to do a double take because something seems off. I contact the person and let them know that they've not been hacked, but someone has stolen their identity and usually sent a friend request.

This type of scam is commonly referred to as an "impersonation scam" or "identity theft scam" on social media. Here's how it typically works (from Grok):

quote:

Identity Theft: The scammer steals a person's name, profile picture, and other personal details from their legitimate Facebook account.

Fake Account Creation: They create a new, fraudulent account that appears nearly identical to the victim's real profile.

Targeting Friends: The scammer then sends friend requests or messages to the victim’s friends, leveraging the trust those friends have in the real person.

Ask for money, claiming an emergency (e.g., "I’m stranded, please send cash via PayPal").

Request personal information, such as bank details or passwords.

Share malicious links to steal data or install malware.

Solicit donations for fake causes or scams.

This is a form of social engineering, where the scammer exploits trust to deceive victims. It’s prevalent on platforms like Facebook due to the ease of copying profiles and the large network of connections.

What to Do If Affected
Report the Fake Account: On Facebook, go to the fake profile, click the three dots (...) on their cover photo, and select "Report profile" to alert Facebook.

Warn Friends: Notify your friends not to accept friend requests or respond to messages from the fake account.

Secure Your Account: Update your privacy settings, make your friends list private, and enable two-factor authentication.

Report to Authorities: If financial loss or serious harm occurs, report it to local law enforcement or the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at ic3.gov.

If you or someone you know is experiencing this, act quickly to limit the damage!

ohhh damn. she said the “n-word”

you know what that means right?

we need to dox her.
spread her and her families names, address, social media handles, and current job publicly out onto the internet. she’s forfeited her privacy and right to a fair trial.

and that’s just a start honestly.
she must be fired. or her business shut down. her husband should be put on leave immediately by his employer. no pay. then he’ll need to take sensitivity training and apologize to his coworkers for his wife’s offense. their children will also need to give a formal public apology to all of their classmates and will need to be removed from the school. in fact, the family as a whole should just leave the state. Go into hiding. With nothing.

what is fair is fair. she said a very mean and naughty word after all.

Based on my experience with women in this age bracket, she has been hacked multiple times. Hell, I think my aunt has four different Facebook accounts because she keeps getting hacked.

Password was probably "band".

There is some additional context to that poster’s comment. It was answering a question about whether it could have been her husband using a device that she left logged into her FB.

This was comment being answered:
quote:

What about her husband? Did she forget to log off the old Compaq Presario?

No doubt, but dumbass people, particularly white ones, should definitely not be using the N word on social media. Especially a HS teacher, admin, or whatever she is.

And yet some people on here still insist they did.

Easier to assume she did it or they don’t have brains? I’m going with the latter.

I was replying about the post saying what about her husband. I was just letting you know that the husband is dead so he didn’t post it.
