He is incorrect. It isn't much more than SMHS.

Makes sense

He is 4 now, so I show him Song of the South on white days and Coco on Hispanic days

Poco Loco is the best song in that movie.

I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure Episcopal is the most expensive in BR. Dunham is probably #2 and then there are a number of schools in the 10-13k range.

An impressive level of tone deafness

To correct disparity caused by generational wealth, the white kids should consider going to a community college instead of a 4 year university to make room for minorities.

Saving money by going to CC first seems like it would increase a wealth gap.

Also, getting a 4-year degree won't do much to establish generational wealth. Generational wealth comes from land/property, investments, entrepreneurship, and owning a successful business. Not getting a bachelors and going to work for "the man."

But do the minorities WANT to go to a 4 year college? I mean I'm sure many do BUT I'm sure many don't.

I doubt that my white daughter took a spot from a minority student.

Im partial to the song about the woman with the big boobs

Anyway, another question since you seemed well versed on racial teachings. Technically my kids are half Spanish, so should I really be showing them Coco. I know Spain is Hispanic, but aren't they like a better aged version?

And this is what I’ll never understand.

Your daughter has her own life and career to work toward . Sacrificing her spot for someone else doesn’t do her any good and frankly that’s all that matters . Is her life and her success and ability to make it in this world

SJA trying to make themselves irrelevant.

The other private schools in BR... gotta be licking their chops.

I guess you missed the part where this was exposed as BS.

It's ok. You're not the only one.

Is Coco cultural appropriation? Disney may owe your kids some apologies.

I’m going to community college thanks to my white privilege while other minorities (a lot dumber than me) get nice little minority scholarships to LSU. So proud of those guys. :D

I don't think parents are paying SJA tuition for them to forego a top tier university. They are called college prep schools for a reason.

I've never even seen that mentioned. I have seen kids encouraged to go to CC instead of a 4-year (all kids) if they're going to school for a non-specialized major to save money.

Even Baton Rouge High suggests that to kids now. If BRCC is 1/2 the cost of LSU and you're going for general eds that transfer to LSU, why not take that road. You can easily save 8-10k in 2 years doing this. It makes a ton of sense for kids without rich parents or scholarships.
