Fun fact: Subway in Ireland can’t legally call their loafs bread because it’s mostly sugar

Is this American? Why are the calories listed in kJ? We don't do metric system crap in the good ole USA

And there's a "Vodophone" store across the street. They're in Europe. Are they in Canada, too?

Truth. The next time I enjoy a delicious Subway sandwich will be after November. I'll finally be able to offset my food budget.

In the US, almost all of the standard subs at 6 inch are less than $6. The Canadian dollar is worth less than the US dollar.

Unless “Joe Biden’s America” moved to Canada, this is a typical right wing misrepresentation.

Actually, this is Australia. $6.00 aus is less than $4.00 USD.

That’s a lot of sugar. I’m surprised it even bakes properly.

I wonder if Subway Europe would do meter sandwiches instead of footlongs for a “party size sub” or a Sub for the fatty in you. EU regulations would probably prohibit that type of gluttony.

Yes, but no. It's absolutely *not* "mostly sugar". That wouldn't even resemble bread. In Ireland, the sugar content of bread can't exceed 2% of the weight of the flour content. Subway is at 10% sugar by weight of flour, or 5g of sugar in a 6" loaf. Still quite a bit of sugar for "bread", but not "chewing on sugar granules" levels of sweet that it would be at 50%+ of the total content of the loaf
