Which one of those crimes was he actually charged with? The only one I could find was ramming a car with his tow truck.

No, it's not abouf race, it's about GUNS and our country's unique, sick obsession with them. To hear the NRA crowd. the Pew-Pew life gunlickers talk, you're not a patriotic 'Murican unless you own a gun... bc you're weak. So I say, "obligatory" gun. Take the gun out of this situation, and one human being is still alive, the other not a murderer.

I couldn't care any less if you own a gun or not and most certainly doesn't make you weak if you don't. You see that is the difference between conservatives and liberals. You don't like guns but it is not enough for you to not own one. Since you don't like them you don't want anyone to own one or have the right to. As far as this situation. If there was no gun involved maybe he would still be alive maybe he wouldn't. You cannot factually make a comment one way or the other. Maybe Big Lee would still be alive? Or maybe the old man runs him over with his car. Would you be anti car? When will you ppl realize it is not about the gun it is about the individual with the gun. If someone is hell bent on killing someone they will do it by whatever means he has available.

Well the problem with this argument is for the most part we have only heard one version/side of the story. It seems well documented-publically, that Big Lee was an a-hole and apparently a bully, loudmouth, blowhard, bad neighbor and general all around douchebag. Old man Higgins was pushed around one too many times and decides to pop a cap on the old boy and here we are discussing it.
What we don’t know is how much has the suspect been the aggressor over the past ten years. A man, regardless of age, that will pull a gun and shoot another man over something we deem trivial at best, is at a minimum unstable and precarious. He could have been the instigator over the years and the actual shitty neighbor.
One thing for certain is we will be hearing much more about their relationship in the future.
