"Sit back, relax, and enjoy your flight"

Anyone else get a chuckle out of this whenever they announce it before you take off? There is absolutely nothing enjoyable about flying on a commercial airplane. First class makes it a little more tolerable, but I wouldn't even say that is enjoyable.

By that point my bags are checked, I'm through security, I'm on the plane, and it's actually going to take off. The worst is over.

I'm always on alert to fight for my life or hurdle the masses to get to an emergency exit.

I wanna claw my eyes out and rip my ears off during the pre-flight "we're so happy you decided to fly with us" video package. For the love of God just let me watch the movie I picked out

Fly Emirates first or business class and I bet you’d change your mind.

Now that I'm retired and on my own schedule, I don't fly domestic anymore. And we vacation a ton.
I load up the diesel 3/4 ton and my bulldog and I drive. If my wife can't commit that much time, the dog and I still drive and pick my wife up at the airport.
One of the biggest benefits--I always stay strapped.

I’m so excited to get in the metal tube after being screamed at by TSA and their instructions. The most stressful part of the entire experience . Rushed through and have to put your belt and shoes back on while everyone is trying to do the same thing .

I’d take a 9/11 every year if it meant getting rid of the TSA.

Doing this in September from JFK to Milan. So psyched.

Hell, the business class is baller.

Assuming everything runs smoothly (a big assumption these days), I enjoy flying.
Get there a little early, breeze through with TSA-Pre/Clear, have a few drinks at the Delta Sky Club, and have an excuse to not answer emails while I watch a movie until I land. And if I get upgraded? Even better.
It’s when a flight is delayed/cancelled or I get stuck on the tarmac that it’s a negative experience.

Last time I flew first class, the guy in the next seat spent the whole flight trying to figure out how I wound up in first class. He didn't come out and ask, "how on earth did you afford this ticket," but I could see the wheels turning in his head

Dude, you get to sit in a cushioned seat with climate control and someone bringing you drinks. How high has your required level of pampering gotten that this qualifies as "uncomfortable"?
You ever baled hay? Run a jackhammer? Done roofing in the summer? Know how I know you haven't? Cuz you are bitching about how hard riding in a plane is.
This is yet another chapter in the wussification of America. You baws are so soft you can't find enough to bitch about.

Yeah their business class trumps any of our domestic airlines first class.
