The dude a song called “Yesterday” at 19 years old. Let that sink in for a bit.

I’m glad when someone says the Beatles were a boy band. I then immediately know they don’t know anything at all about music or history. It weeds out the clueless. Boy bands don’t write their own songs, play their own instruments, and work 12 hour shifts in clubs (Hamburg) as teenagers.

Younger than I thought, to be honest.

I liked hearing how the rumor of his dying in a car wreck and subsequently replaced with a look a like got its genesis.
If it were true, the replacement was better than the original. Lol

The Sum was much greater than the parts.

Only on this board are is the greatest, most influential (to this day) band to ever exist be viewed as overrated and/or a "sum of their parts"
And they also had the greatest songwriting duo(Paul/John) to ever do it and yet people.view them as overrated.
Most of the musical opinions on this board suck and the responses ITT prove that and shouldn't be taken seriously.
I mean Jesus Christ.

Well considering they have songs with 25+ chord changes I wouldn’t label them as that

One of the many reasons that as a songwriter, he's tGOAT.
And for clarification, he wrote that at 19 from a dream that he had, but didn’t finish writing the music for another 4 years. He recorded it 2 days before he turned 23 in 1965.
It also was never released as a single and was the last track on their Help album
It only ended up being the most covered song of all-time.
Anyone who denies Paul McCartney's genius is a moron
