i understand that women vent by communication, but there has to be a healthier way to achieve that than bitching, and i have to imagine the reason why there is so much stress (requiring expression for venting) isn't even what they're bitching about.

The “problem” is their leverage.

If a man solves the problem, they lose whatever power it might have given them and also they lose face because it was just proven that their hysterics over the “problem” were overblown.

Women tend to be, in a word, nebulous. Which is why they give men fits. They are like trying to grab vapor and wrangle it back into a box.

Single women love complaining about life on Facebook

Had an old HS classmate who thanks to tOT's comments regarding FB... I was able to predict she was going through a divorce

1. Posts bible verses
2. Month later posts pics of her and the kids
3. 2 months after bible verses, she opens an instagram account, links it to facebook and becomes and "part-time model"
4. 4 months after bible verses, hubby starts to disappear from FB picture albums
5. 6 months her name changes dropping hubby's name
6. 7 months... posts vacation pictures with her new BF

I couldn't believe what I was seeing! It was a true life example of what we in tOT have said about single moms on FB

She's a nurse too

I’ve stayed friends with a girl from high school just to laugh at her daily rants she posts on fb and all the other whales that constantly comment to reinforce her views of how all men are scum for not wanting to date a 36 yo morbidly obese holy roller cat lady.

I posted a meme that said

" y'all out here shading guys with 401Ks and crying over dudes that have to be near wifi to text you back"

The only girls to like it were married.

Nail on the head. The bad thing is that these women don't realize that by acting this way, they are doing nothing but pushing any decent guy away. Actions have consequences.

I know some decent looking professional girls (with no kids or ex husbands, etc) who do this, and I have little doubt it seriously impacts their chances.

There is absolutely nothing to be gained in your search for a husband by regularly posting on social media. Nothing. Any dude who likes your solo selfie or ploys for attention is going to be a total loser.

The only possible exception I can see is if you do cool stuff (lots of traveling) and put up photos of that with minimal commentary. But posting your dinner, making creepy love comments about your dad or brother every day, constantly posting about sports and trying to be a cool girl, etc. - all counterproductive.

That hits the nail on the head.

The nature of men is to fix things. We identify a problem, and our instinct to figure it out and solve it. Logically and rationally.

Women, for some bizarre reason, don’t seem to want us to fix the problem. I mean, they really do, but they don’t want us to in the way we know how. They want us to feel the problem. To talk about it. To do a million other things rather than just straightforward fix the issue at hand.

It’s maddening

Women love complaining because their brains are wired differently. When a woman is on a complaining spree and a man interrupts her, it's the hormonal equivalent of if you were jacking off and the internet cut out.

Not only that but the insecurity gets old. “What if you find someone prettier than me? Why don’t you look at me the way you looked at so and so? Blah blah blah.”

Relationships aren’t always head over heels. It fades and you settle into a comfort zone with life and kids and work. Sometimes Prince Charming just wants to come home and kick his feet up.

Yep, you are right. Perhaps the one's you know are friends with those that do this

I liken it to fishing, they keep casting their bait until they get a bite. Problem is, like you said, most caught are trash.

There are a few trainwreck women I keep on Facebook just to see what crazy shite they do next.

One just posted something yesterday about how we should feel sorry for the women who got abortions in their 20s because it was such a hard decision for them to make and they still feel bad about it.
