Yep ... And you have missed the point. You cannot relate. You do not know the rewards or drawbacks of parenthood or even marriage. So ... sTFU

I've got 2 going and picked up a 3rd at the library today. Doesn't mean I'm not boring. It's 7:30 on a Saturday night and I've already got my jamas on and kicked back watching the game, playing on TD and debating picking up my book again.

My sister is now home, so babysitting duty is done for the day.

I hate people that act like this. So because he's not married or a parent...he isn't entitled to have an opinion?

Does this make their life meaningless now?

Not at all. I watched my best friend of 20 years succumb to terminal cancer at the tender age of 35 that left behind a wife and two awesome kids. Every breath I breathe is meaningful and for that I am thankful.

None of us know the time or day when death comes calling for us. We all die alone.

I found out I had a form of Leukemia a couple of months ago so every day is precious.

Meant to ask you earlier how you're feeling. I'm registered with the national marrow donor program. Just saying. Got called a few weeks ago about donating for a 70 year old man and started the process. Not a close enough to match to donate, so I'm still on the list for the next guy.

I love it, in the last 8 months I have been to Turks and Caicos, Thailand, and Cambodia. I am booking my trip to Moscow and St. Petersburg now.

Without reading 5 pages, I feel like as time goes on, going to the movies, vacationing, eating out, etc by yourself will be more and more common as marriage rates continue to decline.

A family is just one of many potential purposes in life. For the single person, it could be their career, traveling as much as possible, or making a lasting contribution to society.

I think the better question is what happens when you age and have no immediate family to take care of you.

I wouldn't trade my kids for anything in this world. My marriage might have financially ruined me for awhile but my kids came from that marriage so in the end I won.

Now my GF and her kids

It's hard when their dad doesn't give any child support or help with much of anything.

My plan is to be able to afford a luxury old folks home or a hot young live-in male nurse to give me sponge baths and change my diapers.

Hey Boo
My niece is going to be poking me in the ribs saying "wake up wake up wake up" like I did to her when she was an infant. Had to make sure she was still breathing and all.

And I change her diapers, she should change mine. Plus, she'll pretty much be my sole beneficiary. She didn't give me anything but smiles and giggles. Well and hugs and kisses. But no money. I'm leaving her all my money.

Glad you are close with your neice. Seems like people that don't have kids should at least have close relationships with someone in their family that has kids. Out here where I am there are some really nice retirement communities right by the beach. Doesn't look to bad to me. I am going to enjoy my years until that happens though.

Yes, the pros are doing whatever you want when you want...but yea, I'll say that at the end of a day of playing golf, hanging out with friends, etc...do you get depressed when your friends or whoever you were hanging out with go home to their spouses and/or kids? What becomes the meaning of life at 40 when you really have nothing to leave behind? What keeps you getting out of bed each day and thinking you have a real purpose since you missed the 'family' part of life? What's the next step?

It's fricking great, and we love every minute of it.

And we lol at ur child issues and kiddie problems. Because those little bastards are urs to deal with, while we go home to relax in a peaceful and quiet home! Hahahaha

And while we have BBQ's with our kind, u have to stay home to watch the little bastards or take them to dancing. BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Out here retirement communities by the beach are 6K and up month. My niece better like me as much as I like her or her inheritance will be paying for my diaper changes.
